FAQs
What is your style?
My goal is to capture the story that is your wedding day, therefore I tend to capture a lot of candids. The emotion. However, I realize that posed shots can be a lot of fun and are certainly necessary to help tell your story. I also find it important to capture the details you worked so hard to incorporate. Those touches will be long gone after your wedding day, but will be forever captured in your photos.
What type of camera equipment do you bring?
Ever since I started taking clients over 3 years ago, I've been investing a large percentage of my earnings into the best equipment to make sure you get the best quality out of my photography work. My cameras and lenses produce beautiful, sharp, colorful images even in challenging lighting situations.
Camera bodies: Canon 5D Mark III, Canon 6D
Lenses: Tamron 70-200, f2.8, Canon 24-75, f2.8, Canon Macro 100mm, f2.8, Sigma Art 35mm, f1.4

What type of lighting do you use?
I have invested in high quality lighting equipment to produce excellent quality in low light situations that sometimes arise at weddings and receptions.
On Camera Flash: 2 Yongnuo speedlights with modifiers (bounce, diffusers)
Off Camera Flash: 1 AlienBee 800 strobe, 1 AlienBee 400 strobe + modifiers

Will you be using lighting during my wedding or reception?
I try very hard not to use flash during a wedding ceremony. In fact, most churches would not allow it. If needed, I will get it out and use it for family portraits following a church ceremony. I prefer natural light in any situation if it is good enough to produce beautiful photographs, but you have to be prepared for anything at various wedding locations. Lighting needs will vary from venue to venue and time of day. I come prepared!
What is your editing process like?
Let's use an 8 hour wedding as an example. My second shooter and I usually take 2,000 - 3,500 pictures. I will go through them at narrowing down the very best ones. I find the ones that show emotion, tell your story, and the best of each posed shots we take. Typically, I return close to 800 images. I sort them into categories: Preparation, Ceremony, Portraits, Reception. I go through each category and retouch: crop, check white balance, exposure, etc. When they're all finished, I will upload them into your digital gallery through a service called Pixieset.
How long does it take to get my images back after the wedding?
I can guarantee you your images in 4 weeks after your wedding date. However, I strive to be faster. I know you're chomping at the bit to get them and I like to be quick!
Will my images be in color or black and white?
I will give you a color copy of everything and black and white copy of approximately 50% of your photos.
Do you require a contract and is there a deposit?
Yes, I do require a signed contract to hold your wedding date on my books. I require a $300 non-refundable deposit.
Will you bring a second shooter?
Yes. My second shooter is the wonderful and talented Cindy Parks. She is amazing to work with, has a wonderful eye for detail, and is awesome at coming up with creative and fun poses.
Do you offer a wedding album?
